
The Industrial Engineering Senior Manager is a senior experienced professional manager that is functionally proficient and manages daily operations of a team of engineering professionals. This position requires high degree of human relation skills to manage subordinates. The Industrial Engineering Senior Manager has advanced intelligence in like industry to provide creative solutions for process optimization and automation use-cases to further simplify and improve workflows. This position has deep technical expertise of new technology solutions for material handling and system, is knowledgeable in industry and outside of industry to bring innovative ideas and solution and is a subject matter expert (SME) in fulfillment technologies (system, equipment, automation, other).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountable for the team's ability to deliver engineering projects across the supply chain network. Sets project timelines, delivers results that roll into monthly, quarterly, or annual goals of the Supply Chain Org. Interprets policies and considers whether new procedures need to be developed.
Responsible for managing multiple related teams. Typically leads the definition of KPI's, roadmaps and priorities for their team, helps drive change across other teams to align engineering and operational strategy, manage dependencies, and establish shared prioritization of deliverables that span multiple teams.
Provides strategic vision on how to enhance the performance of their team. Is aware of how own work connects to the broader organization's strategy. Understands what actions to take to help the organization reach its goals. Spots trends and asks about future issues that may impact the roles & responsibilities of the team.
Works with Sr. Leadership, across business units and/or markets, to deliver data driven processes and solutions.
Partners with leaders across multiple streams of organization in scope definition/development, articulation of business requirements and brining system / process / equipment integration related projects to fruition from inception. Follow through with multiple streams for full scope deployment in the network.
Accountable for ensuring all DCs and FCs have documented and up-to-date process flow diagrams for all processes. Drives collaboration with Process & Systems Engineering to narrow the gap between current state and future state process, systems, and material flows.
Manages and develops engineers on methods of conducting time and motion studies, data analysis to understand variances with performance metrics, and how to establish engineered productivities.
Has a deep understanding of data intersection points and a keen awareness and insight into root causes of variance, discrepancies, and unlocks ambiguity. Is responsible for developing team’s data analysis capability.
Advanced engagement on alternatives for process, equipment, and system design. Leverages process knowledge of distribution and fulfillment centers to identify network-wide improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and iterates current state to the desired future state.
Provides oversight of industrial engineering process improvement ideas developed by the team ensuring feasibility, accuracy, and alignment with desired future state flows.
Manages and develops engineers on methods of conducting time and motion studies, how to leverage data analysis to understand root causes of variance between actuals and engineered standards, and develops the team’s ability to created and establish engineered productivities
Develops Industrial Engineers' knowledge of labor standards. Utilizes labor standards and operational performance matrix to direct process improvement focus.
Ensures Standard Work Instructions are available and accurately reflect current processes and performance standards for all DCs and FCs.
Develops the Industrial Engineering team’s knowledge of technical documentation including architectural, mechanical, electrical and software, to assess designs and issues as required. Ensures each DCs and FCs have updated and accurate AutoCAD Layouts. Provides guidance on and ensures AutoCAD and design standards are followed.
Develops the team's simulation capability. Provides oversight of simulation models.

QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years’ Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Experience.
5+ years’ experience within a Supply Chain Distribution Fulfillment environment.
A seasoned people manager in a matrixed and distributed organization.
Proven track record of successfully achieving priorities, accomplishing objectives, and elevating the engineering capabilities of an organization.
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial and Systems Engineering; Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent preferred
Ability to travel 50-75%
